Jacob Forever, El Chacal, and Yotuel Romero starred in one of the most emotional moments of the Free Cuba Rally held last Tuesday at Milander Park, Hialeah, when they took the stage to perform live "Puente Libertad," their new song dedicated to the freedom of Cuba.

The song, released just a few days ago, envisions a symbolic bridge between Miami and Havana as a metaphor for freedom. Its chorus says it all: "Imagine a bridge, a bridge from Miami to Havana / So that people can come, so that people can go / To do whatever I want, whatever I feel like."

The theme opens with a declaration of principles: "Art cannot be indifferent when a people suffers," a phrase that resonated particularly strongly among the thousands of Cuban-Americans gathered at the Ted Hendricks stadium with Cuban and American flags, "Cuba Libre" caps, and chants of "Cuba Next!".

Both Jacob Forever and El Chacal shared videos of the moment on Instagram and expressed their gratitude for the invitation from Mayor Bryan Calvo. "We sang and raised our voices once again for the freedom of Cuba. Long live a Free Cuba. Homeland and Life," wrote El Chacal.

The Free Cuba Rally was organized by the City of Hialeah and the Cuban Anti-Communist Foundation at the invitation of the mayor Bryan Calvo, 28 years old, the youngest in Hialeah's history and a graduate of Harvard Law School.

The event also brought together figures from Cuban activism and the opposition such as José Daniel Ferrer, Rosa María Payá, senator Ileana García, and Alexander Otaola. Also performing at the rally were Los 3 de La Habana, Lena Burke, and Amaury Gutiérrez.
