Bryan Calvo, mayor of Hialeah, announced the official call for the Free Cuba Rally, a large and free event that will take place on March 24 starting at 7:00 PM at Milander Park, located at 4700 Palm Avenue, Hialeah, Florida.

The event, officially organized by the City of Hialeah and listed on its municipal calendar, will bring together elected officials, activists, community and religious leaders, artists, and members of the Cuban exile community in a peaceful demonstration of solidarity with the people of Cuba. The park gates will open at 6:00 PM, and the event will run until 10:00 PM.

The mayor himself promotes the rally on social media with a direct message: "Hialeah, the moment for a Free Cuba is now. Our message is clear: Freedom! Join us for the Rally for a Free Cuba on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 PM at Milander Park."

As special guest artists, the performances of Yotuel Romero and El Chacal have been confirmed, two of the most recognized figures in Cuban musical activism in exile.

Yotuel is the co-author of 'Patria y Vida', the anthem of the protests on July 11, 2021, in Cuba, which won two Latin Grammys that same year. Both artists released this month a preview of 'Puente Libertad', a song with Jacob Forever that envisions a symbolic bridge between Miami and Havana.

The official description of the rally captures its spirit with a phrase: "This event represents unity, strength, and the power to raise our voices."

Bryan Calvo, 28 years old, is the youngest mayor in the history of Hialeah. A Harvard Law School graduate, he was elected in November 2025 with 52.93% of the votes and sworn in in January 2026 at the Milander Center for Arts and Entertainment.

Since the beginning of his tenure, he has maintained a firm stance against the Cuban dictatorship and established a business advisory group focused on a post-regime Cuba.

The Free Cuba Rally is the first major public gathering organized by Calvo since he took office as mayor, and it arrives at a time when the Cuban-American community in South Florida is maintaining its political pressure on the Havana regime. Hialeah has one of the highest concentrations of Cuban-Americans in the United States.
