A Cuban grandmother reported the serious shortage of food and medicine on the island, stating that the current distribution barely meets the needs of the elderly and children, amid the crisis the country is facing.

In videos posted on Facebook by Esmeilda García Márquez, the woman questions the distribution of basic goods and criticizes that the rations are insufficient even for prioritized groups.

The complainant claims that recently only small quantities of rice were distributed to those over 65 and children, which, in her opinion, demonstrates the deterioration of the supply system.

"We only eat rice, the old folks and the children," she said.

He also questioned the logic of certain deliveries, noting that products are allocated to minors who do not consume them, while the rest of the population faces widespread shortages.

In another video, the woman highlighted the lack of essential medications such as atenolol, and recounted the case of an individual who was unable to obtain it despite searching in several places.

"By Monday, he will die," he warned, referring to the seriousness of the situation.

The testimonies reflect the impact of the crisis on the daily lives of Cubans, characterized by shortages of food, medicine, and basic services, in a context where solutions continue to be out of reach for the population.
