A moment as unexpected as it was awkward was experienced by Valentina Ferrer during one of J Balvin's most recent concerts in Colombia, when the security team prevented her from entering… without recognizing who she was.

The incident, which quickly began circulating on social media, showed the Argentine model being detained at the entrance to a special area of the show, after having briefly left the area. Upon her return, the security personnel did not allow her to re-enter, despite the fact that she was part of the artist's close entourage.

In response to the fallout, Valentina herself decided to clarify what happened through a video on TikTok, where she explained with complete ease that it was all a misunderstanding and defended the worker. “He was doing his job, and he was doing it well. He didn’t let me pass,” she said.

The model explained that she did have her credential, but there was one detail that complicated everything: her name was not listed. “They don't put my name; they put 'the boss'. So the security guard was even less likely to understand, he would think it was fake,” she recounted.

Far from being upset, Ferrer made it clear that he did not want to use his relationship with the artist to address the situation. “I wasn't going to stand there saying ‘I'm J Balvin's partner.’ How embarrassing, I would be an idiot if I said that,” he added, laughing.

The moment became even more tense because it happened right before an important part of the show. “I was worried because the song ‘Río’ was about to start and José wouldn’t see me,” she confessed, while recounting that she was even detained again when she tried to move forward.

Finally, he managed to get in and it all turned into an anecdote, but it was enough to go viral and leave a clear message: even when very close to the stage, sometimes the protocol is the same for everyone.
