A Cuban woman identified on TikTok as @zulypao13, from the channel Pao and her mom, shared a video in which she recounts the awkward experience she had when reuniting with an acquaintance from the past right after being deported from the United States to Cuba for the second time.

The meeting in a café in Vedado, Havana, where Pao arrived to have a drink after her arrival on the island.

It was there, in that everyday environment filled with Cuban reality, where the well-known appeared. Upon learning about the deportation, the woman quickly expressed her verdict: Oh, how bad your luck is, it always happens to you.

"I was left in shock, I didn't know whether to respond properly, to respond poorly, and I simply preferred to remain silent," Pao recounted, who confessed that my mind kept racing about how to react to such an inappropriate comment.

For Pao, the most difficult part was not the deportation itself, but facing people who have the habit of interfering and expressing opinions on matters you haven't asked them to comment on, especially in moments of vulnerability.

According to his reflection in the video, those types of people are unhappy with themselves and need you to feel bad in order to feel better about themselves, a reality that many deported Cuban migrants face upon their return to the island.
