Ivana Rodríguez, sister of Georgina Rodríguez and sister-in-law of Cristiano Ronaldo, was crowned this Wednesday as the winner of the first edition of 'Top Chef: Sweet and Famous', the pastry competition on La 1 of RTVE, and took home a prize of 100,000 euros.
The content creator defeated the singer Roi Méndez in the final duel after a night of four elimination challenges in which Belén Esteban, Benita Castejón, and Samantha Ballentines also participated.
The victory was filled with emotion: Ivana began the grand final suffering from a severe migraine, but managed to overcome it and presented a display of 25 mini desserts that convinced the jury, which included Eva Arguiñano, Paco Roncero, and Osvaldo Gross.
The most emotional moment of the night came before the final match, when Georgina Rodríguez appeared in a video recorded from home to cheer on her sister: "Hello, my dear sister. You’re in the final, you’ve worked so hard. Seeing you there is the greatest gift, I can’t wait to see you shine with your new talent. Enjoy this new stage."
Ivana broke down in tears upon seeing the message and acknowledged that it was her sister who encouraged her to participate: "It was the right message at the right time to give me strength because she motivated me to be here."
After the verdict was announced, the winner did not hide her surprise and excitement: "Not even in my wildest dreams did I imagine that this 2026 would give me this gift. I am Georgina's sister and Cristiano's sister-in-law, but I am also Ivana Rodríguez, and I am very happy that everyone has been able to get to know me."
The influencer announced that she will donate the entire 100,000 euros to the Asociación El Ángel de Javi, an NGO that aims to fund gene therapy for children with NEDAMSS, an ultra-rare neurodegenerative disease: "Javi is an eight-year-old boy who has a neurodegenerative disease, and there are more than eleven children in Spain who are very ill. We need to bring a therapy from the United States that costs one and a half million euros, and I hope this will help them."
Ivana dedicated the trophy to her husband and Georgina: "I dedicate this trophy to my husband and my sister Georgina, who forced me to participate."
The victory generated divided reactions on social media: while thousands of followers celebrated the triumph and praised the gesture of solidarity with the award, other users questioned the outcome and described it as surprising.
The family connection with Georgina Rodríguez, known for her docuseries 'Soy Georgina' on Netflix, amplified the media impact of the victory and made Ivana a trend in Spain.
The finale of the program brought together 2,447,000 unique viewers, with a 9.7% audience share, and the competition accumulated a total of 10,799,000 unique viewers over its ten weeks of airing, establishing Ivana Rodríguez as a media figure in her own right.
