Shakira and Beéle released the official music video for "Algo tú" almost a month and a half after the song's launch on digital platforms, and the result is a vibrant tribute to Barranquilla, the hometown of both Colombian artists.

The clip was directed by Shakira herself along with the filmmaker Jaume de la Iguana.

In some scenes, Shakira wears a wolf hat —a nod to her nickname "La Loba"— and dances with masks in a festive setting, while Béele is associated with the figure of a gorilla: there are people dressed in that costume and even a scene where the Colombian appears riding on a pink gorilla.

The chemistry between them is evident throughout the music video: they embrace with understanding and share hip movements that, although subtle, are undeniably hypnotic.

Musically, "Algo tú" is a vallenato with a tropical aroma and Caribbean touches, filled with references to Colombian culture: Tayrona Park, the Magdalena River, composer Escalona, and the traditional vallenato instruments, the alegre and the llamador.

The lyrics celebrate the connection between two people and the freedom to live without ties, with a clear message in response to criticism: "And if they criticize me / Let it flow / I don’t even feel ashamed / Let it flow / I never interfere / In someone else's life".

At the end of the music video, the message reads: "Thank you, Barranquilla, its people, the Mayor's Office, and the City Management".

The collaboration between both compatriots was presented live for the first time on March 1 to an audience of 400,000 people in the Zócalo of Mexico City, a historic milestone, and the song arrived on platforms three days later.

Beéle, whose real name is Brandon de Jesús López Orozco, is one of the fastest-rising Colombian artists: in 2025 he released his debut album "Borondo" and became the most listened-to Colombian artist on Spotify, in addition to performing six consecutive sold-out concerts at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá.

The launch comes at a peak moment for Shakira, regarded as the highest-grossing Latin artist in the world in 2025 in the United States and Latin America, with the free concert in Copacabana —scheduled for May 2 in Rio de Janeiro— already on the horizon, where she aims to surpass the record of 2.1 million attendees set by Lady Gaga last year.
