The Cuban influencer La Mariposa experienced one of the most terrifying moments of her life during a family outing in Miami: an unleashed and muzzless dog unexpectedly attacked the group, putting her one-year-old son, her puppy Vakita, and her own mother at risk.

"Today I experienced one of the most terrifying moments of my life… And I wouldn't wish it on any mother," wrote the influencer, whose real name is Marllenys Reigada Ferrer.

What began as a moment of family peace turned into a nightmare in seconds. "I literally felt like the lives of my son, my little dog, my family, and mine… hung by a thread," he recounted.

In the midst of the chaos, her mother instinctively reacted and placed herself between the aggressive dog and the baby, becoming a human shield. La Mariposa, for her part, hugged Vakita, her three-pound Pomeranian, with all her might. "That dog could swallow her in one bite," she explained, adding that she let the attack fall on herself.

The result: a wounded and scratched back. "Today my back is hurt, all scratched up, but it could have been much worse," she acknowledged, grateful that there were no more serious consequences.

In the video, the Cuban influencer and entrepreneur shows that she filed a report with the authorities regarding the situation. She also took advantage of the moment's impact to make a direct appeal to public awareness: "Not using a leash. Not using a muzzle. Not respecting the laws... IT'S NOT LOVE, IT'S NEGLIGENCE."

Her followers responded with an avalanche of support and empathy. "Oh my God, I'm freaking out, that's why I'm terrified of going out alone with my dogs," wrote one follower. Another, who works as a package delivery person, commented: "The worst scares of my life have been with dogs." A third reacted with indignation: "This is not a joke, folks... No dog should be running loose."

"Today could have been a tragedy. Today it was my son and my family; tomorrow it could be yours," concluded La Mariposa her post, with a message that resonated with thousands of people who have experienced similar situations.
