Gino Montalvo, the Cuban influencer known as Oyacito, confirmed his participation in Planeta Alofoke, the ambitious new reality show from Dominican businessman Santiago Matías, which will kick off on the night of Monday, April 13 at 9:00 PM live on YouTube.
The announcement came with everything: a promotional poster featuring Gino dressed in a silver astronaut suit with the Cuban flag on his chest, making it clear from the very beginning who supports him and whom he represents.
"They do not know all the process and dedication that I have gone through to be here today at Planeta Alofoke. It is an out-of-this-world opportunity, and I am truly going to represent all those Cubans who feel identified and connect with me. With a lot of desire, love, and discipline, we are going to demonstrate that we are great and united," expressed the content creator, whose open stance against the Cuban regime has made him a reference within the Latin community on social media.
The participation of Oyacito is particularly significant considering that Santiago Matías had eliminated him from La Casa de Alofoke 3, which sparked significant controversy among the followers of the Cuban influencer.
The project arrives with impressive figures even before its premiere: according to reports, the show's announcement had reached a million connected devices, giving an idea of the massive reach that the Alofoke brand has within the Hispanic audience.
The premiere also received the public support of Romeo Santos, who shared the announcement with his millions of followers, further amplifying the excitement surrounding the show.
The path leading to this premiere was not without obstacles for Santiago Matías: the alliance with TelevisaUnivision to broadcast specials was canceled, although the Dominican businessman chose to proceed with the launch through digital platforms.
Gino Montalvo is not the only Cuban who has made an impact on the reality shows of Alofoke. Pollito Tropical also participated in the second edition of La Casa de Alofoke.
On the other hand, Oyacito came in second place and won $25,000 and a Honda Civic in the reality show El Rancho de Destino, in which he participated earlier this year.
