"It was a gathering organized at the headquarters of the National Popular Party here in Madrid... a segment of the Venezuelan diaspora was invited along with some political representatives. I had the immense honor of greeting María Corina Machado," recounted one of the Cuban participants.

During the event, Feijóo reaffirmed the PP's support for the Venezuelan democratic cause and positioned himself with democracy and not with the hidden dictatorship, referring to Pedro Sánchez's government and its stance towards Nicolás Maduro's regime.

Machado's visit to Madrid also included other institutional events, including the presentation of the Gold Key of the Town Hall at the Casa de la Villa, a symbolic recognition of her fight for freedom in Venezuela.

The opposition leader has reiterated on multiple occasions her commitment to the democratic cause beyond Venezuelan borders, assuring that once we liberate Venezuela, we will continue working for freedom throughout the region.

The day concluded with a mass gathering of the Venezuelan diaspora at Puerta del Sol, where Machado addressed thousands of compatriots gathered to express their support for the fight for democracy in Venezuela.
