Two Venezuelan workers from the production team of 'El programa de Ana Rosa' on Telecinco were moved to tears upon meeting María Corina Machado during the opposition leader's visit to the Mediaset España studios on Friday in Madrid.
The meeting happened spontaneously when the host Ana Rosa Quintana introduced Enzo, the cameraman of the program, and Yolanda from the production team, both Venezuelans and visibly moved by Machado's presence.
The opposition leader welcomed them warmly and said, "I love you, guys."
Machado went further and expressed his desire to take them back to their country: I want to take all of them back with me. You know, Yolanda and Enzo, all back to Venezuela. Soon. To victory.
The moment concluded with laughter, tears, and a farewell group photo on set, as more Venezuelan workers from the team joined in the gathering.
The scene took place during Machado's first interview on a Spanish television set, an appearance lasting approximately 27 minutes in which she discussed her life in hiding, her departure from Venezuela by boat, the detention of Nicolás Maduro, and her conversation with Donald Trump.
Telecinco canceled the program 'Vamos a ver' without prior notice to extend the broadcast and air the live interview, highlighting the impact generated by the visit.
The meeting with the workers of Mediaset reflects the deep emotional impact that Machado evokes among the Venezuelan diaspora in Spain, a community that has been forced to leave their country after years of repression and crisis under Maduro's regime.
The visit to Madrid was part of an intense two-day agenda. On Friday, Machado also met with the president of the Partido Popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who welcomed her with a loud "Brave!", and received the Golden Key of the City Council of Madrid from the mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida.
This Saturday, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presented the Gold Medal of the region, and Machado led a massive gathering of the Venezuelan diaspora at Puerta del Sol, with estimates of up to 200,000 attendees.
Machado ruled out meeting with President Pedro Sánchez during her stay in Spain, justifying it by the celebration of a summit in Barcelona.
The Nobel Peace Prize 2025 also announced this Saturday that she is maintaining close conversations with officials from the Trump administration to prepare her return to Venezuela, with a focus on the country's democratic transition.
