A Cuban identified as @sailosada_ on TikTok became the star of a video that mixes humor, emotion, and the unmistakable Cuban spirit: the young woman was filmed dancing in a hospital room, wearing a medical gown, headphones, and an IV in her arm, while waiting to give birth at 41 weeks of pregnancy.

The video features a young woman with curly, voluminous hair, smiling and full of energy, moving to the rhythm of "Dichavarte", a track by a Cuban group released in December 2025 by Ya Ice Dilan, Rey Tony, Helabusador, JipMusic Global, and DJ Honda.

The text overlapping the clip says it all: "When the contractions start and no one warned you that you'd be 48 hours in labor."

In the background, hospital beds and the typical white walls of a maternity ward can be seen, but none of that clinical environment seems to affect the protagonist's mood, as she dances with a fluidity and joy that strikingly contrast with the intensity of the moment she is experiencing.

The delivery turned out to be a long and challenging process. The young woman was 48 hours in labor before giving birth to a girl weighing 4.3 kilos. @sailosada_ herself responded in the comments of the video with a message that moved her followers: "Thank you. The girl ended up weighing 4.3 kilos and came in a breech position, but thanks to God and the medical team, I was able to have a very emotional delivery and both of us are at home."

The video is not an isolated case. There is a recurring phenomenon on TikTok featuring pregnant Cuban women dancing, which goes viral—a trend that reflects the deep-rooted nature of the genre as a form of cultural identity and the ability of Cuban mothers to celebrate even the most intense moments with humor and dance.

In September 2025, another pregnant Cuban went viral dancing to Chocolate MC's reparto in a hospital in the United States, just moments away from giving birth. In December of the same year, nayqueen1992, based in Houston, took social media by storm dancing to reparto with her advanced pregnancy. In November 2025, claudiaperez3441 conquered TikTok dancing to Alofoke by Dany Ome and Kevincito El 13 while pregnant, with the phrase: "We already understood that a child doesn’t tie down a man."

The Cuban reparto is an urban musical genre that originated around 2007 in the popular neighborhoods of Havana, especially in Arroyo Naranjo, influenced by rumba, timba, and son cubano. Since 2021, it has strongly expanded among the Cuban diaspora in the United States and Latin America, becoming a symbol of identity and joy for the community.

The video from @sailosada_ is, without a doubt, much more than just a funny clip: it is the portrait of a woman who chose to enter one of the most intense experiences of her life through dance, and emerged from it with a healthy daughter in her arms and a story that has already become one of the most touching narratives shared by the Cuban community on social media.
