The Cuban influencer Imaray Ulloa surprised her followers by announcing that she won two medals at the NPC Diamond Classic tournament, held in Boca Raton, Florida, after eight months of intense training that she publicly documented on social media.
The Instagram post, which garnered over 101,000 likes and 2,745 comments in just a few hours, showed Imaray posing in her blue competition bikini, holding two medals in her hands, with a smile that reflected months of hard work.
She achieved second place in the True Novice category and third place in Class B, competing in two different bikini fitness categories under the NPC, the leading amateur bodybuilding federation in the United States.
The actress and influencer born in Sancti Spíritus and based in Miami, who has over 5.1 million followers on Instagram, shared every stage of her physical preparation with her community, creating great anticipation before the competition. Her training process accumulated nearly 435,000 views and over 37,000 likes on one of her pre-tournament posts.
"Stepping out of my comfort zone, daring to enter a completely different world, facing my fears and proving to myself that I could… that alone felt like a victory to me. But besides living that experience, returning with prizes in hand makes it even more special."
Supporting her in this new challenge was her partner, the surgeon Fabián Fontaine, who admitted that at first he didn't believe that Imaray would stick to the strict dietary regimen necessary to achieve her goals.
"The sacrifice was worth it. Once again, he set a goal and achieved it. A well-deserved second place in True Novice, and in his Class B, I agree with many who know about this that he would have also placed second there. We are very happy with the result!" celebrated the doctor.
Congratulations, Imaray!
