A Cuban recorded from his vehicle the spectacular police chase of a pickup truck with a trailer through the streets of Hialeah and Miami-Dade, with at least ten patrol cars following the driver at high speed.

The video was posted on the Instagram profile @miamiproblemss and has accumulated over 300,000 views on Instagram.

Allegedly, the fugitive driver was Yam Brandy Perera Núñez, a 41-year-old Cuban with an extensive criminal record, who was arrested on Thursday, April 23, in the parking lot of a Walgreens at the intersection of West 68th Street and 12th Avenue in Hialeah, following two days of chases that kept multiple law enforcement agencies on alert.

Everything began on Wednesday, April 22 when agents from the Florida Highway Patrol attempted to stop a white Dodge truck with a trailer on Okeechobee Road, near Pembroke Road, which is reportedly the one seen in the video.

The driver refused to stop, managed to abandon the vehicle, and fled on foot in the area of Northwest 137th Avenue and Northwest 178th Street, in the northwest of Miami-Dade, leaving behind the truck and trailer, both stolen and linked to a heavy equipment theft ring across multiple counties in Florida, including DeSoto, Highlands, and Hendry.

The authorities deployed a helicopter, ground blockades, and a canine unit, but Perera Núñez evaded capture that first day.

The next day, a new chase broke out involving over 20 officers from the Hialeah Police, the Florida Highway Patrol, and agents from the Department of Homeland Security. He was eventually apprehended by the authorities.
