The Cuban actress and host Camila Arteche broke down in tears as she remembered what her mother and grandmother told her when she made the decision to emigrate from Cuba.

Camila shared a clip from an interview with A Casa Abierta on her social media. The video is titled: "What Did My Mother and Grandmother Tell Me When I Decided to Emigrate?".

" My grandmother is the strongest woman I have ever known, and she is very wise. I remember that I was dying when I left, but she was strong until the end. She gives me a hug and tells me: It’s going to hurt me a lot, but it hurts me more that you stay in this shitty country."

The post sparked a wave of reactions among its followers, many of whom are Cuban and immediately identified with the pain of family separation that comes with leaving the island.

The comments reflect the deep emotional resonance of the video. "How right your grandmother was," wrote several users, referring to words that struck a very sensitive chord within the Cuban community abroad.

The connection between Camila and her grandmother has documented precedents, and it has been a constant in her public life for years.

On one occasion, the actress managed to make her grandmother's dream come true by taking her to the Latinoamericano Stadium, a moment that also deeply moved her followers.

Graduated from the National School of Arts of Cuba, Camila built a strong artistic career before emigrating, and her trajectory continued to grow outside the island.

After establishing herself abroad, she debuted on Telemundo as Verónica in the telenovela Juego de Mentiras, solidifying her status as one of the most recognized Cuban figures in Hispanic media.

Beyond her career, Camila has also demonstrated her commitment to those around her. Recently, she drew attention for promoting a charity campaign for her cousin Christine Barzaga, once again highlighting the importance of family in her life.
