The Cuban content creator Liety Dayana went viral on Instagram by posting a reel where she showcases her "morning routine" with a comedic twist that captivated thousands of followers: she described it herself as I don't know if it's a morning routine or an unboxing.

The video has accumulated over 100,000 views. The format chosen by Liety is a parody of the popular "morning routine" or "skincare" genre that is trending globally on Instagram and TikTok.

However, she reinterprets it with the unmistakable touch of Cuban humor, equating the process of fixing one's face with unpacking a product, step by step, as if the face were something that is "assembled" each day to withstand life in Cuba amidst poverty and scarcity.

One of the elements that generated the most laughter from the audience was the reference to clobetasol, a corticosteroid cream for medical use produced in Cuba that has become a viral trend on social media since 2023 due to its unauthorized use as a cosmetic.

The comments quickly began to pour in. "Where did you get the clobetasol?" asked one user, while another declared, "Starting tomorrow, I'm using clobetasol on my face."

Another detail that sparked reactions was the mention of a pot as a beauty tool. "The pot is essential for lifting," wrote a follower, alluding to Cuban creativity in the face of a shortage of cosmetic products.

The most applauded comment in the entire reel was an ironic question: "Doesn't the garden have strawberries?" This was a humorous reference to another Cuban influencer who often makes those "morning routine" videos and showcases her "strawberry plants," something quite rare in Havana.

The audience's identification with the content was immediate. "Finally, a routine I can do," wrote one user, encapsulating the feelings of those who see in the video a reflection of their own daily reality.

Liety Dayana's humor connects with a established tradition of Cuban creators who parody everyday situations with a irreverent and relatable style, appealing to both the audience on the island and the diaspora.
