The TikTok account @julia.martin.juli, known as "THE GRANDMA OF THE DELIVERY," has set social media on fire again with a 44-second video that has already garnered over 154,000 views, in which a Cuban grandmother dances with enviable ease to the beat of "Un tin," the latest track from Payaso x Ley.
What makes the clip especially appealing is not just the charisma of the protagonist, but also the chosen song: “Un tin” is a completely unprecedented offering in the Cuban repertoire that fuses urban genre with classical lyrical operatic technique, something that has never happened in the genre before.
The artist himself defined his creation with a phrase that says it all: "This is a cast with opera."
The song was released on April 20 under the Befocus Music label, in collaboration with Rowell Urban and produced by Ernesto Losa. Its music video—published on TikTok on April 21—features Payaso x Ley singing in a classic lyrical style, which created a huge buzz on social media since its premiere.
The video of the grandmother, posted last Thursday, has accumulated 18,700 likes, 1,220 comments, and 1,583 shares, making it one of the most discussed clips of the week in the Cuban community on TikTok.
The account @julia.martin.juli is not new to this: in December 2025, she already starred in a viral video featuring a seventy-year-old woman dancing with an energy that left many people in awe.
The phenomenon of Cuban grandmothers and the distribution has already had several memorable chapters. In July 2025, Luisa, a 97-year-old Cuban grandmother, went viral dancing to the rhythm of "Tacto que llegó el reparto" by Bebeshito, with the text that accompanied her: "97 years old, me looking for her to bathe her and she's dancing where the music is."
These videos have become a recurring viral subgenre that breaks stereotypes about age and shows how the cast connects generations both inside and outside of Cuba.
The Cuban ensemble emerged around 2007 in the popular neighborhoods of Havana, incorporating elements of timba, rumba, and guaguancó. Until "Un tin," it had never borrowed anything from the classical opera repertoire.
Payaso x Ley, with 956,500 monthly listeners on Spotify, is one of the most active artists in the genre, with recent releases such as "BOTA" (November 2025), "Soltera" featuring DJ Unic, and "Chencha" (2026).
The comments on the video of the grandmother came quickly: "That's how I want to be at 70" and "That grandmother has more rhythm than I do" are phrases that users frequently repeat, while the official description of "Un tin" on digital platforms refers to it as "the new anthem of the Cuban urban movement."
