Maluma surprised his millions of followers this Sunday by announcing that he will become a father for the second time alongside his partner, Colombian architect Susana Gómez, choosing Mother's Day to share the most anticipated news of his personal life.

The Colombian singer posted a single intimate and emotional photograph on his official Instagram account, accompanied only by a blue heart emoji and no additional words. In the image, he and his eldest daughter, París, are kissing the pregnant belly of Susana Gómez, in a family snapshot that melted the hearts of his followers within minutes.

The detail of the blue heart did not go unnoticed: fans and media immediately interpreted it as a possible hint that the new baby could be a boy, although the artist did not confirm the baby's gender.

The post accumulated over 2.17 million likes and more than 16,000 comments in just a few hours, becoming one of the most viral announcements of the year in the Latin entertainment world.

Among the celebrities who reacted to the announcement were J Balvin, who left five heart emojis, as well as Prince Royce, India Martínez, Pastora Soler, Lola Lolita, and Valentina Ferrer. Fans, on their part, flooded the comments with references to their famous song "Felices los 4," turning the phrase into the viral comment of the moment.

What makes the announcement even more special is the context in which it occurred. Just a week prior, Maluma had attended the 2026 MET Gala in New York, where he elegantly dodged questions about whether he was considering expanding his family, although he teasingly mentioned that he "would like more children" and that he "was practicing."

Susana Gómez, a Colombian architect with a low profile, has been in a relationship with Maluma since 2020. Together, they are already parents of París Londoño Gómez, born on March 9, 2024 at the Clínica del Rosario in Medellín, Colombia. "On March 9 at 8:23 a.m., the love of our lives was born," the singer wrote when announcing the birth of his first daughter.

That first pregnancy was also announced unexpectedly: Maluma revealed it during a concert in October 2023, with the music video for his song "Procura" that included ultrasounds and the gender reveal, stating that "this is and will always be MY GREATEST DREAM."

Since arriving in Paris, the artist has revealed a much more family-oriented and reserved side. Maluma celebrated his daughter's first birthday with a farm-themed party in Medellín, and in August 2025, he revealed his daughter’s face for the first time on social media. The family currently resides in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

This transformation —from the urban party icon to the devoted family man— is not a coincidence. In April 2026, Maluma confessed that he wanted to have between three and five children during a conversation with Jay Wheeler, and upon turning 32, he emphatically stated: "I am already married."

The announcement of the second baby coincides with the imminent release of his seventh studio album, "Loco x volver," scheduled for May 15, 2026, which Maluma himself described as the most personal of his career: "It's called Loco x volver because I missed Juan Luis, I missed my essence, I missed that dreamer boy and I came back."

Two great pieces of news in one week confirm that Maluma is experiencing one of the most fulfilling moments of his life, and that his fans have enthusiastically embraced this more intimate and family-oriented version of the artist.
