The Panamanian model and influencer Gracie Bon became an unwitting star of the red carpet at the Netflix event in Seville by turning a stumble into viral content that has garnered millions of views on her social media.

The fall occurred during the premiere of Berlín and the Lady of the Ermine —the second and final season of the spin-off of Money Heist— held at Las Setas in Seville. Gracie Bon attended the event in a fitted dress and wearing high platform shoes. As she walked down the carpet, her ankle gave out, and she fell to the ground in front of numerous attendees.

According to the influencer herself, the surface was not suitable for that type of footwear. "It was a death trap, especially with me carrying such a heavy load," she explained in her Instagram video, where she recounted the incident with humor and without holding back.

"I was walking all fabulous, and all of a sudden, bam! I twisted my ankle, I fell to the ground, and it shook. No, just kidding, it didn't shake," she recounted with laughter.

Far from hiding it, Gracie Bon got up, moved on, and then shared everything on her social media. She first posted a video on TikTok on Monday in response to a follower, where she revealed that the Netflix team assisted her right away: "After I fell, Netflix helped me with a staff member who helped me keep walking on the carpet."

The TikTok video accumulated 2.5 million views and 88,600 likes. The following day, the longer video on Instagram surpassed 970,000 views and 96,847 likes, with nearly 1,829 comments.

But beyond the humor, Gracie Bon seized the moment to deliver a message of self-acceptance that resonated with her followers. "There were quite a few people watching, but you know what’s the best part? It didn’t bother me as much as it would have before. I stood there laughing and told some girls, well, that’s life, we have to get up," she shared.

The influencer, known for her body positive activism and for suffering from lipedema, reflected on the change she has experienced in her relationship with herself. "Before, I feel that would have completely ruined my night. I would have thought, oh no, how embarrassing, how unfortunate," she admitted.

Her conclusion was the one that had the greatest impact among her more than 11 million followers on Instagram: "When a woman truly learns to love herself, not even a fall will dull her shine."

Gracie Bon had arrived at the event with a very clear aesthetic proposal: "I was themed like a painting, like a goddess, truly like art itself, and you all know that I always say women are art, no matter if you're a small size, large, if you have curves, cellulite, or whatever."

The influencer, who in recent years has been at the center of other viral moments such as her search for a butler for $10,000 a month due to the physical limitations of her condition, ended the video with a direct question to her followers: "Now tell me if the dress was worth the fall or not, and how many stitches I lost for falling."
