Daniela Reyes set social media ablaze again this Friday with two Instagram stories that were enough to trigger a wave of speculation: the Cuban influencer and model announced that she has "a big surprise" for her followers.
In the first story, Daniela appears elegantly dressed in a black jumpsuit. The text is direct yet mysterious: "I have a great surprise for you / Kings & Queens."
In the second story, it's filmed inside a luxury vehicle with a smile that says it all: "A month full of GREAT surprises." "I'm going to give you all a big surprise soon. Many of you might imagine what it is, but it has me very excited, and I know you will be too," she said in the video.
The combination of her last name with the word "Queens" and the crown emoji immediately triggered what her followers have been waiting for months: for Daniela Reyes to confirm her participation in Miss Universe Cuba 2026.
It is not the first time this has happened. On April 20, she posted the message "Something big is about to begin", which was also interpreted as a signal of candidacy, just as the organization of the contest started its first in-person casting to find 24 finalists among more than 100 applicants.
Miss Universe Cuba 2026 is currently in the selection process, and the winner will represent Cuba in the international edition scheduled for November in Puerto Rico.
Daniela's profile perfectly fits the image of a beauty queen: she has spent over a decade building her presence on social media, sharing content related to fashion, travel, modeling, and beauty. Her move to Miami at the end of 2024 expanded her media exposure, including an appearance on Telemundo's Hoy Día program.
In November 2025, she broke her silence and acknowledged that the possibility of participating in the contest fills her with "a lot of excitement and also a little bit of fear," leaving the decision "in God's hands."
The comments from her followers came in quickly. At the Miss Universe Cuba 2025 gala, where she did not compete but was present, the audience was already loudly calling for her candidacy for 2026: "The day @danielareyesofficial enters this contest, she could even be the first Cuban to be Miss Universe," wrote one follower. Another was even more direct: "When Daniela shows up, the others should step back and just hand her the crown."
Even Marianela Ancheta, Miss Universe Cuba 2024, publicly supported her: "I see you as Miss Universe Cuba."
So far, there has been no official announcement of her participation in the competition. But with just one Instagram story, Daniela Reyes achieved what few influencers manage to do: become the topic of the day without revealing anything at all.
