Eliani Rodríguez, mother of Ana Paloma —the daughter of the late Cuban singer El Taiger—, shared an emotional message on Instagram this Wednesday to celebrate the second anniversary of the girl's spiritual journey.
"Today we celebrate two years of a blessed journey, two years since Eleguá opened the paths of your life and Yemayá covered you with her mantle of love and protection," the mother wrote in the post.
The images show Ana Paloma adorned with a crown inscribed with "ELEGGUA," beaded necklaces, and white clothing, elements characteristic of the Regla de Ocha, the Yoruba-origin religion widely practiced in Cuba and its diaspora.
"My beautiful girl, from that day your destiny has been guided by light, by the wisdom of the orishas, and by the spiritual strength that accompanies you. You are a blessing, you are faith, you are hope made life," Eliani Rodríguez continued in her message.
The post also invokes key figures from the religious structure of initiation: the godmother Ochún Dina, the oyubona — the second godfather or godmother in the ceremony — and grandmother Magda.
The final paragraph of the message is the one that has moved the followers the most: "May the love and blessings of your dad always be with you, my queen. Your family loves you. You are great, my daughter; may God always bless you."
The mention of the deceased father takes on a special significance: El Taiger died on October 10, 2024 in Miami, at the age of 37, after being found with a gunshot wound to the head on October 3 of that year. His death was investigated as a homicide.
Ana Paloma, who turned 8 years old in February 2026, is one of the four children left by the artist.
Since the death of the reggaeton artist, the girl has become a highly followed figure on social media, where her mother shares moments of her growth and tributes to her father.
Mother and daughter left Cuba in June 2025 and settled in Cancun, Mexico, where they were reported to be living, as confirmed by Eliani Rodríguez herself on April 22.
"As a mother, today I reaffirm that I will be by your side at every step, guiding you, taking care of you, and loving you with all my heart. You are my pride, my strength, and my reason to fight every day," Eliani Rodríguez concluded her message, which gained over 5,100 likes and more than a hundred comments in just a few hours.
