Vinicius Jr., the Brazilian star of Real Madrid, posted a story on his verified Instagram account (@vinijr) with the song "Dichávate" by Ya Ice Dilan, Rey Tony, Helabusador, and JipMusic Global playing in the background, in a new international boost for the Cuban cast.

The post displays a bird's-eye view of the football player's feet wearing custom Havaianas, alongside three additional pairs of sandals from the same brand placed on the ground. All models feature the number 7, Vinicius's jersey number at the Bernabéu, and are part of the "Vini Jr. x Havaianas" collection.

The musical choice did not go unnoticed: "Dichávate" is the most viral Cuban song in recent months, with a chorus—"Dichávate, let me know if you really like me"—that has become one of the most repeated audios on TikTok since January 2026.

Released on December 24, 2025, by Planet Distribution on YouTube, the song surpassed 2 million views within its first few days of widespread circulation and reached 3 million in just a week. Currently, the track has over 40 million plays on the leading video platform.

Before Vinicius shared it in his story, "Dichávate" had already captivated several international figures. Alexander Delgado, from Gente de Zona, went viral listening to it in his Instagram stories in January 2026, on his way to a tennis class.

Bad Gyal danced to the song in concert in March, generating over 80,000 reactions, and even asked: “What is it about this music?” The artist Ovi also joined the phenomenon with his own version that amplified the song's reach. Additionally, he recently stated that Bad Gyal and Myke Towers are part of the remix of the song.

The Cuban reparto, a subgenre that emerged between 2007 and 2010 in the popular neighborhoods of Havana, influenced by reggaeton, timba, and rumba, is currently experiencing its greatest international exposure. In February, Cuban dancers from Bad Bunny's dance crew brought the genre to Super Bowl 2026, the world's most-watched stage.

Vinicius's story is a new boost for the Cuban representation in the world. The footballer has over 59 million followers on Instagram.

The genre had already marked a historic milestone when Oniel Bebeshito represented it at the Billboard Latin Music Week 2025 in Miami Beach, solidifying its presence in the circuits of the Latin music industry.
