The Colombian reguetonero J Balvin sparked social media again after commenting on the latest post by his partner, Argentine model Valentina Ferrer, with a phrase that quickly went viral among his followers: "Why a thong photo in family pictures? Explain it to me."

Valentina shared a carousel of images on Instagram, accompanied by the caption "What goes around gets around," along with several laughing emojis. However, there was one photo that stole all the attention: an image of her lying face down on a hotel bed, wearing a black bikini, brown boots, and covering her face with a wide-brimmed black hat, with a mountainous landscape in the background.

And of course, J Balvin didn't miss the chance to publicly tease her.

His comment garnered more than 18,000 likes and became the most popular of the entire post, which exceeded 183,000 "likes" in less than 24 hours. As expected, followers quickly joined the couple's game.

Several entertainment figures also reacted to the post. Greeicy commented with laughter: "You're just pure C A N D E L A," while Samanta Duque wrote: "Amikaaaaaa." Even Amazon Music Latin joined the comments with a funny "THE BFF."

The most curious thing is that this isn’t the first time Balvin has made a similar remark on a photo of Valentina. In 2021, the singer already sparked controversy after commenting on another post in a bikini: “Any photo with clothes? By any chance?”

At that moment, social media exploded, and many users accused him of being "sexist" and "toxic," even forcing him to delete the comment. Shortly after, Balvin changed his tone and left another one that was much more romantic: "How beautiful my girl, the queen of Córdoba, the mother of my child..."

Valentina then went out to clarify that everything was part of the internal humor they share as a couple, something that is now made clear again with this new viral exchange between them.

J Balvin and Valentina Ferrer have been a couple since 2017, when they met during the filming of the music video for "Sigo Extrañándote". They have a son together named Río, who was born in June 2021 in New York.

The tone of the new publication and the reaction of both suggest that, far from any real tension, the couple turns their differences into shared content with humor. In January 2025, Balvin surprised Valentina in Paris by presenting the song "Río," dedicated to her and their child, a gesture that moved the model to tears.
