The Cuban influencer Gino Montalvo, known as "Oyacito Rey de Reyes," arrived in Miami on Wednesday after finishing his participation in the first edition of Planeta Alofoke, the Dominican digital reality show, where he placed third and won a prize of 50,000 dollars.
As soon as she entered her home, she turned on her Instagram camera to address her followers with a message of gratitude and calm. "Hi, well, I'm at home, I'm already in Miami, I just arrived, and what I did was start this little video. I'm happy, my love," she said at the beginning of the video.
Gino acknowledged that his result generates divided opinions, but he urged his followers not to be swayed by that. "I know there are many mixed feelings—of emotions, stress, discomfort, joy, happiness; some people agree, others do not—but it doesn't matter. Focus on me; I feel good, happy," he expressed.
The Cuban described his experience in the program as a transformative one and expressed gratitude for the support he received. "I am very grateful, very very grateful to God, to the universe, to my family, to my friends, to you, who are the strongest team I have. Thank you truly from the bottom of my heart, I love you," he stated.
When closing the video, he summarized in a few words what he experienced during the 55 days of the contest: "Because this was a tough battle, thank you for being here, I love you all, I'm going to rest, okay."
The video garnered over 738,000 views and 172,000 likes in just a few hours, receiving comments from figures such as Yailin La Más Viral, Seidy La Niña, and Pollito Tropical, who wrote “Welcome my sister.” The user @somalyrodriguez summed up the feelings of many followers: “We all know that you were the winner.”
Gino's time on Planeta Alofoke was marked by multiple controversies. During the weeks of the competition, the young man was attacked by other contestants. Despite these obstacles, Gino managed to bounce back and reach the final podium.
The winner of the first edition of the reality show was Carlos Montesquieu, who took home $200,000. Nacho Estrella came in second with $100,000, and Pamela Infante received $25,000.
Before Planeta Alofoke, Gino had already participated in El Rancho de Destino, where he finished in second place and won $25,000 and a Honda Civic, which solidified his status as a recurring figure in the Hispanic digital reality circuit.
Gino closed his message with a promise to those who followed him throughout the process: "I will keep moving forward, delivering the content of love that I've always given, along with comedy, my craziness, and my mischievousness, but we're going for more."
