Yailin "La Más Viral" shared an emotional video on her Instagram stories on Sunday, Mother's Day in the Dominican Republic, in which she publicly revealed that she lost a second pregnancy that she had never made public before.
In the images, the singer is seen with a prominent belly while her daughter Cattleya gives a sweet kiss on her tummy. The message that accompanied the post was: "We were going to be 3, Catta, you and me. My little angel who is in heaven."
Yailin did not provide details about the circumstances or the exact moment when the loss occurred, but the video showed an advanced pregnancy that the artist had kept completely private.
The revelation came at a time of heightened media exposure for the Dominican singer, who is currently participating in the reality show "Planeta Alofoke."
Just days earlier, on May 20, Yailin confessed on that program that she had gone through a deep emotional crisis before the birth of Cattleya, admitting that she considered taking her own life. "I didn't want to live," she said, adding, "I would cut myself, I would take pills...".
In that same space, the artist confessed that one of her greatest disappointments has been not being able to create the family she always envisioned.
On May 26th, Yailin publicly introduced her new boyfriend, Yoanki, a 25-year-old Dominican barber and stylist, whom Cattleya refers to as "uncle." "That guy has it out for me," the singer said while presenting him to the cameras.
Yailin is the mother of Cattleya Gazmey, a three-year-old born in March 2023, the result of her relationship with Puerto Rican singer Anuel AA.
The couple got married in June 2022, announced the pregnancy in November of that year, and separated in February 2023, just weeks before the girl was born.
After that breakup, Yailin had a relationship with the rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, from which she separated in August 2024.
In March of this year, the artist also starred in another episode that made headlines: she was arrested in Santo Domingo Este during a police operation in which two firearms were found in her vehicle. A judge imposed a bail of 500,000 Dominican pesos and she was released the next day.
The revelation of the second miscarriage generated a wave of reactions among her followers and was widely reported by entertainment media throughout the region, which highlighted the message with which Yailin bid farewell to that baby: "My little angel who is in heaven."
