Dollar and euro prices reach new records in Cuba's black market

This is how currency prices are looking in the informal market of the island.

The US dollar (USD) reached a new record this Friday morning at 610 CUP in the Cuban informal market, according to elTOQUE.

The USD gained 10 pesos compared to the previous day, when it was trading at 600 CUP, solidifying its upward trend.

The euro (EUR) also set a record for the second consecutive day. It is trading at 690 CUP, having risen by 10 pesos compared to Thursday, when its reference value was 680 CUP. It is the most expensive currency in the informal market.

Meanwhile, the freely convertible currency (MLC) dropped to 405 CUP, representing a decrease of 5 pesos compared to the 410 CUP reported the previous day. This decline confirms the volatility that this asset has exhibited in recent weeks.
