Aly Sánchez experienced one of the most emotional moments of her life this week as she celebrated the graduation of her eldest daughter, Sophia Balmaseda, who not only received multiple academic and artistic honors but also dazzled everyone with her voice during the ceremony.

On Thursday, the Cuban actress and presenter shared a graduation video on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt message: "If there’s one thing I wish for you, it's that you never stop being that kind, sensitive, and fun girl. May life always find you being yourself. Watching you grow has been the greatest privilege of my life."

Sophia, 14 years old, received accolades in science, vocal skills, music, the Musical Honor Society, as secretary of the Student Council, in volleyball, and for her participation in the music conservatory.

Days before, last Monday, they published a video of Sophia singing at the graduation, which became the most talked-about of the two. In it, the young woman performs a song in English with a voice that surprised thousands of followers.

This is not the first time Sophia has showcased her vocal talent in public. In April 2025, Aly was moved to tears upon seeing her daughter sing "Dernière Danse" by Indila in an audition, in a video that also generated significant attention.

Sophia's artistic journey has been closely followed by her mother since she was little. In June 2023, the family celebrated her elementary school graduation at Kingdom Academy, Miami, when Aly wrote: "And in the blink of an eye, our little princess graduated."

In November 2024, Aly celebrated Sophia's 13th birthday, and just a year later, the young girl has already garnered honors at the Conservatory and delivered a vocal performance that captivated her followers.

Aly Sánchez, born in Banao, Sancti Spíritus, and residing in Miami since 2007, is known for her career in Hispanic television and her comedic characters. Along with her husband Roberto Balmaseda, she also has a younger daughter, Sarah, whose graduation she celebrated in June 2024.

In her message this week, Aly concluded with a phrase that captures all her wishes for Sophia: "Keep growing and never be a normal girl, be a happy girl."
