Brazil and Morocco will face off this Saturday at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in one of the most exciting matches of the first stage of the , marking the debut of both teams in Group C.

The Canarinha arrives with a historic mission: to begin the journey towards Brazil's , a drought that has lasted since the pentachampionship won in 2002 in South Korea and Japan, when it defeated Germany in the final.

The great novelty of this edition is the presence of Carlo Ancelotti as the head coach.

One of the key players on the team is Vinícius Júnior, forward for Real Madrid, who is experiencing one of the best moments of his career and acknowledged beforehand the confidence that Ancelotti instills in him, stating that he feels "in top physical and footballing form to face the tournament."

However, Brazil will not be able to rely on Neymar from the start, as he is suffering from a grade II injury to his right calf and will not be available for the debut, although he will still be present with the team at the stadium.

Ancelotti publicly assured that the veteran star will participate in the tournament and stated that he has "no doubt" that the 26 selected players will attend the World Cup, describing Neymar as "enthusiastic" and "working very well" in his rehabilitation, with hopes that he will be able to play in the second or third group match.

The potential Brazilian lineup would be led by Alisson in goal, with Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, and Alex Sandro in defense; Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães in midfield; and Raphinha, Lucas Paquetá, Vinícius Júnior, and Matheus Cunha in the attacking front.

On the other side, there is a that is no longer considered a surprise, backed by its historic campaign in Qatar 2022, where it became the first African and Arab team to reach the World Cup semifinals, eliminating Spain and Portugal before falling to France.

The Lions of the Atlas retain much of that generation, featuring figures like Achraf Hakimi, Brahim Díaz, Sofyan Amrabat, and Azzedine Ounahi, and they approach the tournament with the conviction that they can compete once again against the world's great powers.

For many specialists, Morocco is "the main contender to challenge Brazil for the leadership of Group C," which makes this a potentially decisive match for qualification, with Scotland and Haiti completing the group.

The match will take place at 18:00 Cuban time, in a tournament that has already shown its first excitement with the United States thrashing Paraguay 4-1 and Mexico defeating South Africa 2-0 at the Estadio Azteca.
