A Cuban boy who was trying to record a message for his father, who had emigrated, discovered, in the midst of a birthday party, that the Spiderman in front of him was actually his own dad. The emotional reunion was captured on video and was posted last Saturday by the TikTok account @regalando.emocion3.

The father had returned to Cuba unexpectedly, disguised as the popular superhero, without his son knowing anything.

During the celebration, someone asked the little boy if he wanted to send a message to his dad, and the child became visibly emotional at the mere mention of his father.

Seconds later, amid the countdown organized by those present, the man took off the costume and the child discovered the truth.

The embrace that followed, filled with tears from both, moved everyone at the party.

"This birthday was very special because a father made his son's wish come true. With a lot of love and dedication, he arrived ready to give him more than just a celebration: he gifted him an unforgettable experience, full of emotion, smiles, and happiness," the account wrote in the video's description.

Giving Away Emotions is a Cuban service that organizes and documents these types of surprises for celebrations and family reunions, publishing the moments on TikTok where they generate hundreds of thousands of views.

This type of scene has become a recurring trend that reflects a painful reality: that of Cuban children growing up separated from their emigrated parents.

Between 2021 and 2025, more than a million Cubans left the country, leaving behind fractured families where children grow up without one or both parents.

In September 2025, another Cuban father surprised his two children dressed as Spiderman after a year of separation, and he wrote: "After a year, I hug them again."

In October of that same year, a father told his daughter that she wouldn't be able to attend her 15th birthday party and showed up dressed as Stitch in the middle of the celebration.

On March 23rd, a boy in Cuba received a similar surprise on his birthday in another reunion that also went viral.

And just on June 5, another relative dressed up as a rabbit to surprise a loved one in a video that also generated a strong reaction on social media.

Characters like Spiderman, Mickey Mouse, Stitch, bears, or rabbits have become the costumes that parents wear when they return to the island after months or years of absence, condensing in seconds the pain of distance and the joy of reunion.

"Seeing the joy in that little one's eyes was the best gift for everyone present. Without a doubt, a day that will forever be cherished in their hearts," concluded the account that documented the moment.
