A Cuban resident in Orlando, Florida, identified on TikTok as Daya (@conmigodaya), shared a video that touched thousands of followers: the moment when her son and her mother arrived for the first time at the house she bought in the United States.

In the heartfelt video posted on her TikTok profile, Daya explores every corner of the home with her son, showing him the bathroom and other spaces as emotions run high. "My family has finally arrived at my new house, I am so happy," she wrote in the post's description.

The post sparked an avalanche of supportive messages within the Cuban community. "You are a warrior, I admire you for pushing forward without fear of leaving your comfort zone," wrote a follower. Another person, who admitted not knowing her, confessed, "I don't know you, but you brought me to tears. May God continue to bless you."

The video gathered almost 14,800 views, nearly 2,900 likes, and around 500 comments in just a few days, becoming a source of inspiration for Cuban emigrants who follow Daya's profile, aimed at motivating other women with her experiences.

The story of Daya adds to a growing trend among Cubans in the United States who share their most significant achievements on social media, especially the purchase of their own homes. In July 2025, another Cuban family celebrated on TikTok the purchase of their first house after just two years in the country, in a video that generated a similar response.

Orlando has established itself as one of the preferred destinations for the Cuban community in Florida, a state that is home to nearly 988,000 Cuban immigrants since 1959, according to data from the Migration Policy Institute. The family reunification celebrated by Daya takes on special significance in the current migration context: since December 2025, the number of Cubans presenting themselves for mandatory ICE registrations in Orlando had tripled, amidst a climate of uncertainty that makes stories like that of this family resonate particularly strongly.

"Blessings from above. How beautiful and exciting it is to have the family together," summarized another follower what thousands felt when watching the video.
