Seidy La Niña is experiencing one of the greatest moments of her career. The Cuban singer traveled to Puerto Rico and this week confirmed on her social media that she was in the studio with two of the heavyweights of Puerto Rican reggaeton: Ñengo Flow and Casper Mágico.
The first meeting that made an impact was with Casper Mágico. Seidy shared a series of photos alongside the artist and a visit to the studio. "I have no words to thank you for the love and respect you've shown me since I arrived in Puerto Rico. For a long time, I lost faith that good and genuine people existed in the music world. God knew that I could not leave PR without meeting you first," the artist wrote.
But what really set the networks ablaze arrived this Thursday. Seidy published a 40-second video featuring a snippet of what will be a collaboration with Ñengo Flow.
The text accompanying the post left no doubt about what this moment means for her: "I still can't believe it. Thank you @nengoflowofficial for believing in me, in my talent. REAL G FOR LIFE. Thank you for opening the doors to your space for me. Let's go for it, joneeeeeeeeeeee."
The phrase "REAL G FOR LIFE" is a direct reference to the movement and label that Ñengo Flow founded in 2008, a mark of authenticity within the genre that few artists outside the Puerto Rican circuit can invoke with such naturalness.
Seidy's followers quickly reacted with excitement. "Sizes that break sizes," "This song is going to be a worldwide hit," "None other than the king of ice cream, Ñengoso," they wrote among hundreds of comments filled with fire emojis. Several Cuban fans also proudly noted that the artist represents the Island in the big leagues: "From Cuba, I'm the one," as she sings herself in the snippet.
With recorded material already in hand and two allies of that caliber in her corner, Seidy La Niña's upcoming musical move promises to be, as she hints in her lyrics, "an extraordinary thing."
