The Cuban reggaeton artist El Micha confirmed this Monday his reconciliation with Ana María Daniel, the mother of his two children, by dedicating an emotional message to her on Instagram in celebration of her 40th birthday.

In the post that the artist shared on his verified profile, El Micha referred to her as "my wife," "my friend," and "my life partner," and expressed gratitude for 14 years of being together.

"I'll marry you 5 or 6 times because I love you and because you are my life," wrote the singer, adding the hashtag #tremendachamaca and referring to her as "my holguinera."

For her part, Ana María celebrated her 40th birthday with a photo shoot and published a message of gratitude in which she thanked God "for my health, for my family, for my children, for the people who have come into my life."

The public confirmation comes nine months after the couple underwent a highly publicized breakup within the Cuban exile community.

In September 2025, Ana María Daniel announced the separation with a straightforward message: "What was once will no longer be. Micha, many blessings on your new path, I wish you luck. Good luck in Cuba."

The breakup coincided with the reggaeton artist's announcement that he would be returning to live on the island, stating in the podcast SePoneWeno: "I've decided to go to Cuba because I don't want to pay any more bills... I'm going to Cuba where people show you love."

His words about the "real family" in Cuba, without mentioning his children, sparked controversy. Ana María responded harshly: "So your children are not your family then."

Then, Sachy Sánchez also took a stand, publicly declaring: "My friend, you left her abandoned in the street with your children, but there are people like me who made sure your kids don't end up on the street."

After the breakup, Ana María resumed her career as a real estate agent in Miami with the support of her followers, while rumors of a possible reunion began to circulate.

The first signs of their closeness emerged in March 2026, when El Micha posted an affectionate message for Ana María to celebrate her professional achievement, calling her "my life" and writing, "your success will always be mine."

In May 2026, Ana María publicly came out in defense of the artist in a video that sparked controversy: "I will always stand up for him. You have to be truly bold, because this guy has made history."

On that occasion, however, she clarified, "He is the father of my children. Even though we are no longer together. He is the father of my children and he is my family," without confirming a reconciliation.

The message from this Monday, in which El Micha explicitly refers to her as "my wife" and mentions 14 years together, dispels any doubt and puts an end to months of speculation about the couple's future.
