El Chacal climbed up the metal structure of the stage during his performance in Gran Canaria and started dancing at the top, igniting the excitement of the audience, who quickly took out their phones to film him.

The moment occurred on Saturday, June 28, at the Cubatonazo Fest held at Ocean Club Maspalomas, the first edition of the festival in the Canary Islands, where the Havana artist danced to the rhythm of one of his most famous tracks from the top of the metal truss, several meters above the ground.

A video of the moment, published on TikTok by the user @alexii252, quickly went viral with the overlay text "The most complete, the demon of fame."

El Cubatonazo Fest, solidified in Miami as one of the most important festivals of the Cuban urban genre, chose Gran Canaria for its debut in Spain.

The lineup featured some of the most recognized names in urban music from the island: El Micha, Wampi, Yet Garbey, Dany Ome, Kevincito El 13, El Chulo, Charly & Johayron, the dancers Los Datway and Fredyclan, and DJs Lao and Onel.

The event, organized by JBM Events and R Productions in collaboration with the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Hall, took place from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and featured live shows, performers, a foam cannon, and typical cuisine, sponsored by the vodka brand Absolut.

It’s not the first time that El Chacal has made an impact on the archipelago: in June 2024, he kicked off his tour back to Europe from Tenerife after several years without touring the continent.

The artist, whose real name is Ramón Lavado Martínez and who was born in Havana in 1986, has been part of the Cuban urban music scene for over two decades and is known for his overflowing energy on stage.

In January of this year, the release of a new version of his classic "Se va de control" once again made him a trend on TikTok, and in 2026, he celebrated four decades of artistic career.

After his stop in Gran Canaria, El Chacal has a confirmed date in Barcelona for August first, which confirms that his European tour this year has only just begun.
