Cuban singer Hallel Génesis published an emotional message on Instagram this Tuesday to say goodbye to her pet Oreo, who passed away, leaving her followers touched by one of the most personal posts of her career.
In the reel she shared on her Instagram account, the artist humorously and tenderly described her relationship with Oreo, characterized by small everyday quarrels that, from a distance, reveal themselves as signs of a close bond.
"We had a love-hate relationship, but it was the most beautiful and sincere love," Hallel wrote in the post, which garnered thousands of likes and hundreds of supportive comments within a few hours.
The young woman recalled that Oreo never let her get close to his food, convinced that she was the only one capable of stealing it from him, and he would bite her fingers when she tried.
She also mentioned that she couldn't stand the animal coming into her room because it filled it with fur, and that she used to yell: "OREO GET OUT, I'M ALLERGIC TO YOU!"
However, it was that very morning when she saw him for the last time, and she welcomed him as always: "doggy from mommy or daddy, mommy loves you," as she recounted in the post.
"Now I would give anything to come and see you in my room," wrote the artist, during one of the most emotional moments of the text.
Hallel also revealed that Oreo instilled a certain fear among family members, although he laughed and clarified that his mom denies it, adding that the only one whom the pet respected was "Soto."
The post concluded with a collective message: "WE LOVE YOU AND WE'RE GOING TO MISS YOU SO MUCH. R.I.P. Oreo."
Oreo's farewell reveals an intimate and vulnerable side of the artist, who usually shares humorous content, music, and entertainment with her followers on Instagram.
In recent weeks, the singer has experienced very different moments: she performed at the Summer Kickoff 2K26 festival in Varadero and delivered humanitarian aid to pregnant women at the Maternal Home in Güines, in Mayabeque, during her visit to Cuba in June.
