The Cuban reggaeton artist Dany Ome joined the celebrations for Independence Day in the United States with a reel on Instagram that captured his festive spirit and pride in the identity he has built on the other side of the Florida Strait.

In the video posted on July 4th, the artist appears at night in a residential area of South Florida, shooting off fireworks with a broad smile. In one scene, he holds up a lit firework rocket that sends sparks and flames into the sky, with palm trees and a white fence in the background. In another shot, he is seen next to a box of fireworks, surrounded by friends at a lively night party.

The message that accompanied the post said it all: "Beautiful things to everyone, may God always watch over us, for He is the only Savior, and happy 4th of July from this Cuban American."

The post garnered nearly 9,749 likes and 42 comments, a warm response from its more than 571,000 followers on Instagram who recognize him as one of the most genuine and relatable exiled Cubans on social media.

Dany Ome, whose real name is Daniel Muro Pedraza, was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, on April 27, 2001, and moved to the United States when he was still a child. He grew up in the Miami area, where he built his music career and family life with his partner "La China" and their two children.

The artist, who turned 25 in April, has had a very active musical year in 2026, with collaborations alongside Ozuna, El Chacal, Omar Montes, and Nyno Vargas, among others. But beyond chart successes, his spontaneous and relatable style on social media is what has earned him a particularly loyal following.

Celebrating July 4th with fireworks in the garden is, for many Cuban-Americans in South Florida, a way to reaffirm their connection with the country that welcomed them. For Dany Ome, who bought a house for his mother in Miami in March 2025 and has made his immigrant story part of his personal brand, the celebration carries an additional significance: it is a public confirmation of an identity that he has been proudly building for years on both sides of music and life.
