The office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Miami is actively searching for Khalid Ahmed Satary, a diagnostic lab owner accused of being involved in a $547 million medical fraud scheme against the Medicare program, and is offering a for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

The case of Satary, who is listed among the most wanted fraudsters by the FBI, was highlighted during the announcement of the National Healthcare Fraud Takedown 2026, presented by the Department of Justice on June 23, 2026, as a historic action that included charges against 455 individuals for schemes related to over $6.5 billion in fraudulent claims.

Additionally, according to the official FBI record, between 2016 and 2019, this man operated several diagnostic testing laboratories in various states across the country that allegedly billed Medicare for expensive and medically unnecessary cancer genetic tests.

Each genetic test sample generated reimbursements ranging from $10,000 to $20,000.

To produce them, Satary allegedly coordinated with dozens of patient recruiters, telemarketing centers, and telemedicine companies through misleading marketing campaigns and illegal bribes to doctors and recruiters.

On September 26, 2019, a grand jury formally indicted him in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans on charges of conspiracy to commit medical and electronic fraud, medical fraud, conspiracy to defraud the federal government, payment of illegal bribes, and conspiracy to launder money.

After being released on bail with the condition of not working in the healthcare sector, Satary allegedly violated that restriction by conspiring with laboratories in Houston, Texas, to submit new fraudulent claims for genetic testing to Medicare.

That violation of the terms of his release led to the issuance of a new federal arrest warrant on November 23, 2022, in the same court in New Orleans. Since then, he has been a fugitive.

Authorities indicate that Satary has connections to Houston (Texas), Atlanta (Georgia), Delray Beach (Florida), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Jordan, and the areas of Israel and Palestine.

He is also known by several aliases: Khalid Satary, Rocky Satary, and DJ Rock Satary, among others, and he uses at least three different birth dates.

His physical description: a man with black hair, brown eyes, approximately 1.70 meters tall and weighing 68 kilograms.

In relation to this case, special agent supervisor Freddy Ortiz from the FBI office in Miami, made statements this Tuesday to various media outlets in front of the agency's facilities regarding the efforts to capture the fugitive.

The case of Satary is not the only one of its kind linked to the Miami office. According to the FBI, several individuals accused of stealing hundreds of millions from Medicare in South Florida remain at large.
