Ana de Armas has a new romance, and social media is already buzzing. The Cuban actress was spotted looking quite affectionate with Alberto «Beto» Montenegro, the lead singer of the Venezuelan band Rawayana, at the concert of Rubén Blades during the Noches del Botánico festival in Madrid, as seen in the images posted on the Instagram account of the magazine ¡HOLA!.
It was journalist Javi de Hoyos who uncovered the romance in mid-July, although he claimed to have been receiving hints since the end of May. "I've been receiving this information since the end of May, so they don't really hide it," the communicator stated, also revealing that the couple frequently visits one of the actress's favorite cafés in the Spanish capital.
This was the second time they were spotted together at the same festival. On both occasions, the scene was the same: dancing song after song, never leaving each other’s side. "You caught them from all angles, and everyone assured me of the same thing: that they were seen all lovey-dovey, enjoying the concert by Rubén Blades," De Hoyos recounted, adding that "there are many salsa fans who saw them together and could confirm that, as of today, they are in a romance that is no longer a secret."
Beto Montenegro, a 37-year-old from Caracas, is the frontman of Rawayana, a band he co-founded in 2007, which in recent years has become one of the most internationally recognized Latin American groups. In 2025, they performed at Coachella and won the Grammy for Best Rock Album or Latin Alternative Album for ¿Quién trae las cornetas?, in addition to two Latin Grammy awards in 2024.
The magazine's post on Instagram, with over 8,300 likes, sparked a flood of comments that combined celebration with controversy. Many users took the opportunity to recall the most contentious chapter of the actress's romantic life: her relationship with Manuel Anido Cuesta, stepson of Miguel Díaz-Canel and son of Lis Cuesta Peraza, which was publicly confirmed in November 2024 and generated a strong reaction in the Cuban exile community.
“Wasn't she the one dating the son of the dictator of Cuba?” wrote a user with 544 likes, the most liked comment on the post. Another user pointed out, “It's shocking to see @betomonte dating a girl connected to the Cuban dictatorship.” The relationship with Anido Cuesta, which caused outrage among Cubans in exile, remains fresh in the collective memory.
Not all the comments were in that vein. Some Venezuelans celebrated the news with humor: "Chamo Beto hooked up with Ana de Armas! From Venezuela to the world," wrote one user.
The romantic history of Ana de Armas is indeed one of the most talked about in the entertainment world. Before Beto Montenegro, the actress was in relationships with Marc Clotet, Ben Affleck, Paul Boukadakis, Anido Cuesta himself, and during 2025, a story with Tom Cruise that was never officially confirmed and that various media outlets reported ended in October of that year.
This summer of 2026, however, it seems that the actress has found in a Venezuelan lover of salsa and alternative rock someone with whom to share more than just a song.
