The Cuban singer La Diosa (Dianelys Alfonso Cartaya) shared a series of three photographs on Instagram this Friday, accompanied by a phrase that encapsulates years of personal transformation: "My greatest luxury is not what I wear... it’s the woman I have become."
The images show her relaxed on a lounge chair, wearing a white bucket hat with frayed edges, elaborate makeup, nude glossed lips, and fine jewelry accessories.
The post garnered hundreds of reactions in just a few hours, with comments pointing directly to the change that its followers have closely monitored over the past few years.
"Incredible the change... in everything..." wrote one of them, summarizing what many expressed in various ways.
Another follower was more explicit: "Beautiful. Always discovering the best version of oneself is an art. And a tremendous woman! At every stage."
"Good for you, Goddess. You are an elegant and classy lady, which has always characterized greats of Cuban music like Celia Cruz: popular music without vulgarity," wrote one of them. Another summed it up in a few words: "Perfect, Goddess... Deep down, you always were."
The phrase chosen by the artist is not casual. Since 2023, La Diosa has undergone a well-documented transformation: cosmetic surgery in Miami, a gastric sleeve that helped her lose several kilograms, and keratopigmentation to change the color of her eyes to blue.
But the reinvention has not only been physical, the artist stated that she is "very proud" of having achieved her goal of "reducing controversies, getting to work, and growing focused".
A few months ago, she published a reflection that encompassed all her public personas: "They saw me strong, they saw me vulnerable, they saw me streetwise, they saw me elegant, they saw me a mother, they saw me a warrior, they saw me human," demonstrating that although she has gone through various phases, the most important thing is personal growth.
The message this Friday also comes after a legal chapter closed with victory. In March, La Diosa won a lawsuit in Miami against Armando Labrador, who had sued her for alleged breach of contract and was claiming $91,000 related to a luxury car.
While many expect to see that controversial La Diosa, exalted and shouting on social media, the artist continues to focus on her life, family, music, and her ventures, becoming increasingly distant from the clashes that used to make her the center of criticism.
