A Cuban resident in the United States became the star of one of the week's most talked-about videos on TikTok by surprising her husband with a luxury car in the middle of a dealership, in a clip that garnered over 169,600 views in less than 24 hours.
The video, published on Monday by the account @comunicabakeryflow1 under the name Comunica Bakery Flow, shows the moment when the woman takes her husband to a dealership where several luxury vehicles are displayed in different colors and hands him the keys to one of them.
“Take the key. What’s yours, daddy? The car is yours. I swear on my life,” the woman is heard saying in the two-minute and 36-second clip.
Before revealing the surprise, she reminds her husband what has always been his favorite vehicle: "What has been my car my whole life? What have I always told you is my preferred car?"
The man's reaction was one of complete disbelief. His first question was, "Where are the papers?" while a voice in the video described the scene: "Look, he’s shocked, mom, he can't believe it."
The emotion overwhelmed the entire family present. The husband ended up in tears, and the person recording the scene was also moved, while the woman herself alternated between laughter and tears. "You’re crying too, sir," they told the husband.
The climax came when the couple got into the car to test it: "Oh man! Now we're really going to fly, dude, my God, hey!" said the man.
The video description reflects the feelings of those who shared it: “The Cuban really took over.” The clip also garnered 11,500 likes, 730 comments, and 976 shares under the hashtags #cubanosenmiami and #cubanosporelmundo.
This type of content is part of a well-established trend among the Cuban diaspora, especially in Miami and South Florida, where couples and families document on social media the purchase or gifting of luxury cars as a simultaneous expression of migratory success and affection. In February of this year, a Cuban woman in Houston bought a yellow Corvette and sparked a similar frenzy on social media.
In September 2025, a Cuban woman surprised her partner with a matte green Porsche Panamera, and in May of that same year, a young woman received a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon as a birthday gift. In June 2026, another video of a Cuban husband gifting a car to his wife exceeded 42,400 views.
These videos reflect the increasing purchasing power of certain sectors of the Cuban community in exile and their use of digital platforms to showcase personal achievements that, for many, represent the result of years of effort far from the Island.
