Flor de Cuba (Flor Danay Hernández) surprised her fiancé Alex with a gift that few could imagine: a 2026 Lamborghini Urus SE, the luxury hybrid SUV he dreamed of for years while living in Cuba. The influencer documented the entire surprise in a video posted on her YouTube channel.
The Urus SE 2026 has a base price of around $262,000, but the model that Flor gifted to Alex goes far beyond that figure: it is equipped with all available carbon fiber extras—side mirrors, fenders, and body—and features a red leather interior that left the couple speechless at the dealership. To put this into perspective, each key for the vehicle is worth $2,000, and if both are lost, obtaining a replacement takes a full month.
The detail about the car also has an interesting story: the Urus SE is no longer produced in series; all are special orders that take about a year to manufacture. The unit that Flor bought was one that someone had ordered and then could not—or did not want to—pick up, which allowed the couple to take it home immediately.
But beyond the price and technical details, what turned this gift into a viral moment was the contrast with the couple's starting point. Just a year and nine months ago, Flor and Alex arrived in the United States with barely anything. Their first car was a 2007 Toyota that a friend gave them, which stalled at every turn and was missing its front windshield. They even paid $500 to have it transported from Miami to Kentucky, where they lived in the back of an aunt's house with not a cent to spare.
"That 2007 Toyota was our first car in the United States. It broke down practically on every street, and yet it took us to work, to record, and to sort out our lives while we were starting from scratch. Today, we're next to a Lamborghini," Flor recalled in her Instagram post, which garnered over 57,000 likes.
In that same post, Flor explained why she made the decision: “Yesterday I gifted a Lamborghini to the man who decided to bet on me when all of this didn’t exist yet. When we started, he quit his job to work with me and invest in my personal brand. While I was in front of a camera, he was often behind it: recording, editing, publishing, preparing hundreds of TikTok Shop packages with me.”
The post sparked a debate on social media about whether a woman should spend that money on a man, to which Flor responded emphatically: “I don’t believe that loving a man means supporting him, nor do I think a woman has to demonstrate love financially. However, I also don’t believe a woman loses power by being generous to a man who has been generous with his time, work, and life.”
Alex, who usually stays away from the cameras, also reacted on his social media. "I still find it hard to believe that I'm living this moment, something I often imagined but never thought would happen so quickly. And the fact that it was my wife who made this dream come true makes it even more special," he wrote on Instagram.
The couple, who is expecting their first child together in December 2026, closed the chapter on the Lamborghini with a statement from Alex in the comments that nicely summarizes the moment: "I love you my queen and all that we have yet to achieve, this is just the beginning."
