The Cuban model and influencer Samantha Hernández posted a reel on Instagram dancing to "La Foto," the hit by El Shadow and Nicky Jam, and the reaction from her followers was swift: dozens of compliments flooded the comments section within hours.

Her fans had been waiting for that moment for days, and with good reason: Samantha was one of the stars of the official music video for the song.

The influencer herself summarized the impact of the song with the description that accompanied the post: "you have me all messed up in the head," a phrase that is also part of the catchy lyrics of the song.

"There's little discussion about the sensuality with which Samantha dances, and it's no exaggeration," wrote one of her fans.

Others were more direct: "Cuban women are something else," noted a follower, while someone who admitted to not being a regular follower stated, "This is the first time I've liked a video of hers."

There were also those who took the opportunity to highlight the influencer's musical variety: "You see, it's not all about pretty girl distribution; there are other enjoyable themes and music."

"The Photo" was released this August with an exclusive premiere on Billboard en Español, turning its reel of dancing to the song into something that its fans eagerly anticipated.

The song, which blends acoustic guitars with afrobeats and a Caribbean vibe, narrates the process of falling in love and gathering the courage to take the first step, with verses like "tropical summer, coconut water, and the sea / you've got me liking, liking your photo."

Behind the song lies a story that has become part of the new Cuban urban music scene: El Shadow made history by launching this collaboration with Nicky Jam after, in February of this year, the Camagüeyan singer —whose real name is Raudel Gómez Hernández— posted a video on Instagram with only 12,000 followers asking people to tag the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist. Nicky Jam personally responded, and the project became a reality.

Samantha Hernández has a history of viral videos dancing to the most popular songs of the moment. So far in 2026, she has set the networks ablaze dancing alongside Puerto Rican Jay Torres to the rhythm of "Deli," featuring Argentine influencer Matías Ochoa in the Cuban cast, and more recently showcasing her dance to "GATAZA" by Melanie Santiler.

With "La Foto" already trending and the music video gaining international attention, Samantha's reel arrives at the perfect time to extend the momentum of a song that has captured the audience
