The infielder for the Chicago White Sox has had a historic season in 2026, with a steady upward trajectory that carried him from 47 runs batted in by mid-June to 82 by August 17, when he also reached 28 home runs with the Chicago team.
Álvarez, for his part, is competing in a Triple Crown season with the Houston Astros: in addition to ranking second in runs scored, the Cuban leads the American League in home runs, RBIs, and batting average, solidifying his status as one of the best hitters in today's baseball.
