Karol G and Bruno Mars have been the undisputed stars of all gossip channels around the world for days now, and not just because of their music, although that's part of it too. A carousel of photos posted by the Colombian artist on Instagram, showing them embracing, toasting with champagne, and sharing a cake, has sparked a whirlwind of rumors that no one wants to see come to an end.

The caption by Karol G was as minimalist as it was explosive: "BRuno." Nothing more. And that was enough for the post to gather over 4.8 million likes and more than 45,000 comments in just a few hours.

Among the most celebrated reactions was that of Spanish singer Beatriz Luengo, who did not hold back: "We need you to get married and I'm not going to discuss it with anyone." The comment garnered nearly 2,800 likes and became viral in its own right. Singer Greeicy also joined the collective enthusiasm with admiration emojis that accumulated over 25,000 likes.

But the true trigger for all this had occurred a few days earlier when Bruno Mars posted a video on his account with the chords of "Still" — the ballad he recorded with Karol G — accompanied by a phrase that set off all the alarms: "When all you want is peace, but you’re falling for a Latina."

The question that no one can help but ask is obvious: is that Latin woman the bichota?

The context makes everything more juicy. “Still” is part of No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, the sixth studio album by Karol G, released on August 7. The song is a ballad about the fear of losing a loved one, featuring lines like “My mind calms down in your bed, but I can't stop thinking about what it would be like to be without you” and “I will continue to feel you in the dark, I will keep your letters, I will never tear them up”. With that lyrics as a backdrop, any gesture between the two artists becomes fuel.

And the gestures have not been lacking. In mid-August, Bruno Mars surprised everyone by appearing at Karol G's concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where they premiered "Still" live in front of thousands of fans and filmed the official music video.

In the carousel photos, the chemistry is evident: he in his signature pink shirt with a tropical floral pattern and golden glasses; she in a short black dress. Embraced, toasting, posing next to a cake that reads "Welcome Karol G." Two stars who, if this is just promotion, deserve an extra award for their performance.

There are, however, those who do not get carried away by romanticism and suggest that it could all be a marketing strategy ahead of the release of the music video for "Still", which was already announced on screens during the Los Angeles concert.

Neither Karol G nor Bruno Mars have confirmed or denied anything. The Colombian artist, who has been single since January following her breakup with Feid, hinted on August 19, when a fan proposed to her during a show, that "she was not getting married." However, that was before Bruno Mars started talking about Latinas he is falling in love with... Could something be happening between them, or is it all just for promotion?
