The Cuban influencer Camila Guiribitey experienced one of those unplanned moments that everyone dreams of: during a bridal shower, wearing a veil and holding a "I Do" clutch, she came face to face with Erling Haaland, the forward for Manchester City and one of the deadliest footballers on the planet.
Camila shared it herself in an Instagram post that garnered over 53,700 likes: "Look who was at my bridal shower @erling and even told me Congrats." Without planning it or coordinating it, the Norwegian star showed up at the same Mediterranean-style restaurant — with blue and white tiled walls and a Dolce Vita ambiance — where her sister Patricia Guiribitey had organized the perfect party for her.
The explanation for the coincidence makes sense: Haaland owns a villa in an exclusive area of Marbella and often visits the Costa del Sol during his vacations and preseason. That the Premier League's record goal scorer ended up in the same spot as Camila's bridal party was pure chance, but it's the kind of chance that stays forever in the album.
The bridal shower was the prelude to the so-called "wedding 2.0" that Camila and her husband Juan Carlos Izquierdo celebrated on August 30 in Marbella to commemorate their tenth wedding anniversary, with over a hundred guests who celebrated with them at the Colomares Castle in Benalmádena and the Finca La Concepción on the Costa del Sol.
Camila wore an ivory lace gown with a train and high fashion shoes from Dolce & Gabbana adorned with three-dimensional flowers and heels shaped like cherubs.
