The Cuban businesswoman and influencer Enileidy Amarán, known on social media as Wanderlust, ignited social networks by revealing a comment that the host Raúl de Molina had left on her Instagram profile weeks ago, triggering a flood of reactions.
It all started with a post by Wanderlust on Instagram, where she is posing in front of a helicopter during her recent getaway to Africa, wearing a Fendi jacket, a wide-brimmed hat, and black boots. In the caption, the influencer wrote: "Chin Chin. Version 'men' intimidated by a WOMAN."
What turned the post into a true viral episode was that Amarán decided to reveal comments that Instagram users had left on her posts over the last few weeks, including one from De Molina. The host of El Gordo y la Flaca on Univision had left a comment on her profile about five weeks earlier that said: “New rich.”
Two words were enough for Wanderlust's followers to come out in droves against the host. The comments piled up into the hundreds, and several received dozens of likes.
"But I remain stunned; even Raúl de Molina fell for it. Why should people care how each person lives?" wrote a user with 33 reactions.
Another, with 109 likes, was more direct: “@rauldemolina, there is something that money can never buy and that is health.”
A third comment, which received 103 likes, pointed out his career: "I can't believe that such a well-known person on TV like this gentleman @rauldemolina is looking for publicity with the queen of marketing. Sir, that says a lot about you. Is your career declining?"
There were those who directly accused him of envy: "Everyone got up choosing the path of envy, even @rauldemolina," with 14 likes. Others were more ironic: "I didn't know @rauldemolina is rich. Well! In frustrations and low self-esteem, he's a millionaire."
The post concluded on Saturday with over 188,000 views, 17,600 likes and 748 comments, figures that reflect the extent of the discussion generated.
Amarán, the founder of the Harmony Lux Wellness Center and a resident of the United States, has over 870,000 followers on Instagram and 570,000 on TikTok. Her content relates to her businesses, lifestyle, and luxury travel—which includes a villa costing $8,000 per night in Turks and Caicos with a private chef and butler, and a $64,000 trip to the private island of Laucala in Fiji—has made her a recurring figure in the debate about success and money within the Cuban community abroad.
It’s not the first time that De Molina has sparked controversy on social media. In April of this year, he publicly lashed out at Pepe Aguilar and Christian Nodal, leading to another wave of criticism on social media.
Amidst all the heated comments, one person summed up the general sentiment in few words: "What Raulito never thought was that the new rich girl would expose him. That look is out of this world."
