A deported Cuban residing in Cancun, Mexico, sparked controversy within the Cuban TikTok community by posting a series of videos in which she criticized Miami influencers Ultrack and his partner Claudia Artiles for not having supported her when she sought help to grow on social media.
The protagonist of the story is Yadi (@yadicool6), a mother of three who lives in Houston, Texas, while she tries to support herself from Mexico by creating content on TikTok. It all started when she joined Ultrack's live stream hoping that the Cuban community would uplift her, but she ended up feeling humiliated: the influencer made a comment about "thieves" which, although he stated was not directed at her, Yadi took as a direct reference to her past.
Yadi openly acknowledged having been deported from the United States due to a felony related to credit card fraud. Far from hiding it, she made it her trademark: "I’m Yadi, your favorite deportee from the United States. That’s my personal brand, like it or not."
In four consecutive days, he published four videos on the topic, accumulating over 300,000 combined views. The phrase that resonated the most was direct and straightforward: "I thought that thanks to you I would rise in the rankings, but with you, it's not possible to rise, my dear. With you, there is only contempt, immorality, disrespect, and degradation."
The controversy heated up when Claudia Artiles entered the scene. According to Yadi, the influencer went onto gossip pages to talk about her children and called her "crazy" and "stupid." Claudia responded with a video lasting just 32 seconds that became the most viral moment of the episode: she made a song in which she repeats the word "stupid" several times.
Yadi did not remain silent and responded to Claudia, appealing to the solidarity among mothers: "Ultrack and Claudia Artiles, both as influencers, instead of supporting a mother in the Cuban community, have chosen to discredit and denigrate her simply because they do not understand second chances."
The community's reaction in the comments was varied. Some users supported her, while others urged her to drop the topic once and for all. One user summed it up with irony: "She wants sound with Ultrack, which she hasn't received, and she's still on the same thing."
