Claudia Artiles wanted to celebrate her partner's 38th birthday, Ultrack (Jorge Batista), with a romantic gesture: giving him flowers. However, after posting the video, instead of discussing the loving detail, her followers focused on something else: her lips, which appeared fuller and a more vibrant color than usual.
The comments came pouring in. While some followers celebrated the gesture—"that's love, Claudia, may that love last for many years"—others couldn’t help but point out the changes. One user left a message filled with good intentions: "you have an exceptional beauty, enviable in a natural way, don't ruin that lovely face, you risk something going wrong and you don't need anything on your face."
In response to the avalanche of reactions, Claudia addressed the issue directly in her Instagram Stories with a clear and straightforward clarification.
"I didn't have lip fillers, it's a micropigmentation. What I did was give them color, a color that fades, and my lips are swollen, I look like a duck. In a week, the color will fade and the swelling will go down too. Wait for the results. I didn't add volume; I had it done once before and I like how they look now," explained the Cuban influencer based in Miami.
Lip micropigmentation, also known as lip blushing, is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that deposits pigment into the superficial layer of the skin to enhance color and definition without adding actual volume. Swelling and a more intense tone in the initial days are completely normal effects that subside in about one to two weeks.
But Claudia didn't stop at just the explanation. True to her style, she also responded with humor to a critical message she received privately — "You are very pretty, but those lips nooo please" — sharing the comment in her Stories along with a filter of exaggeratedly large lips and writing: "Look how nice the color is."
This is not the first time that the content creator has faced this type of reaction with the same mix of transparency and boldness. In recent months, she has openly shared several aesthetic procedures: an endolift on her double chin and other touch-ups in April, followed by a body sculpting surgery at the end of the same month in Miami. And in January, she had already talked about preventive Botox.
Her stance on criticism hasn't changed. In May 2025, when comments arose regarding a previous lip augmentation, she summarized it with a phrase that became her trademark: "It's my body, my decision. When I'm old, I'm not going to do anything because I already am, and if something bothers me, I fix it or remove it. Blessings."
