Amazon will hold Prime Big Deal Days on October 6 and 7, 2026, in the United States, featuring exclusive deals for Prime members across categories such as technology, kitchen, home, fashion, and toys. The company confirmed the dates in its official event announcement.

This Thursday, October 1st, early promotions are now available for consultation, but the two main days have not yet started. For those preparing home purchases or gifts, these days allow for reviewing models, noting prices, and deciding how much to spend before encountering the deals.

What time do the Amazon deals start in Miami?

The event will start on Tuesday, October 6 at 12:01 AM Pacific Time. In Miami, that corresponds to 3:01 AM on the same Tuesday.

According to Amazon, during the campaign there will be new batches of promotions three times a day under the section Today’s Big Deals. These will be limited-time offers and subject to availability, so not all items will necessarily maintain the same discount throughout the two days.

The dates and conditions of this guide correspond to Amazon in the United States. The company also organizes the event in other markets, but warns that the dates may vary by country.

How much does Prime cost and who can use the free trial?

To access the exclusive event promotions, a Prime membership is required. In the United States, Amazon announces a standard price of $14.99 per month or $139 per year.

Customers who meet the requirements can activate a 30-day free trial. It is not automatically available for all accounts: the option must appear when checking the subscription offer.

The trial does not equate to a permanent free membership. Amazon explains that it will start charging once that period ends if the subscription is maintained. To avoid charges, it must be canceled before the trial ends from the membership management.

There are also discounted options. Prime Access costs $6.99 per month for those who can prove they meet government assistance or income requirements. Eligibility must be verified on the official website.

What early offers are available before October 6th?

The early selection announced by Amazon features the company's devices, products, and services related to Kindle, Amazon Music, and items from Amazon Haul. Each promotion has its own terms, so it's advisable to check which customers are eligible and for how long.

In digital service offerings, pay special attention to how much the subscription will cost when the promotional period ends. A trial period or an introductory rate should not be confused with a service permanently included in Prime.

Finding a promotion before the event doesn't reveal how much that same product will cost on October 6 or 7. The decision should be based on the available price, your needs, and a comparison with other options, rather than on a supposed future discount.

How to determine if a discount is worth it

One of the available tools is the Amazon price history. According to the company, it allows you to check periods of 30, 90, and even 365 days for compatible products.

To use it, look for the "Price History" link next to the item's price. You can also check the history through Alexa for Shopping, Amazon's shopping assistant.

This record helps verify if the current amount is below what it recently cost. An eye-catching percentage compared to a reference price alone is not sufficient to prove that it is an exceptional opportunity.

The next step is to compare exactly the same product. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recommends jotting down the model number and other details before looking for prices in different stores.

In an electronic device, for example, check the specifications, capacity, and included accessories. Two items with similar photographs may not offer the same features. The history also does not predict whether there will be a better deal in November or during Black Friday.

The final price matters more than the percentage of the discount

Before paying, check the total amount including taxes, shipping, and any other charges. The FTC recommends considering the full cost, not just the figure highlighted in the ad.

If you are going to use Prime exclusively for this campaign, also factor the membership cost into your calculations. As a hypothetical example, saving $10 on a single purchase would not offset paying $14.99 for a month of subscription if you don't take advantage of any other benefits.

Check who is selling the product and in what condition it will be delivered. The FTC's online shopping guide recommends reading the full description: terms like “refurbished” or “used” are important for comparing one offer to another for a new item.

It is also important to know the return period, who pays for the return shipping, and if there are any additional charges. Keep the order confirmation and the terms applicable to the purchase.

How to prepare your shopping without relying on haste

Before Tuesday, prepare a brief list of what you really need and set a maximum price for each item. Noting the current amount makes it easier to recognize a change when the campaign begins.

Amazon allows users to save products in lists and, through Alexa for Shopping, set up alerts for discounts or price drops to a target price, as explained in its announcement about Prime Big Deal Days.

Receiving an alert can help you review an opportunity, but it does not replace checking the model, the seller, and the total amount you will pay. A smart purchase is one that meets a need and fits your budget, not just the one that shows the highest percentage discount.
