The Cuban influencer Anthony Eduardo Pi Vila, known on social media as Bota Compota, threw a party inside a public bus in Cuba during his visit to the island this September, singing alongside a group of women and girls the sharing song "Dichávate" and repeating some of the phrases that propelled him to fame.
The video posted on his TikTok account shows the interior of the vehicle decorated with colorful balloons—pink, purple, white, and yellow—while those present sing and celebrate to the rhythm of the popular Cuban song, to which Bota Compota adds his own viral phrases, including his well-known expression "Candela, dear friends."
“Those who are close to me also had to experience what made me viral,” wrote the influencer as a description of the clip, with which he shared part of the experience that made him famous from Miami with his followers and family in Cuba.
The video accumulated over 22,700 views, 2,135 "likes", and 67 comments in just a few hours, once again demonstrating the connection that Bota Compota has with its audience on the island.
This is at least the third visit of the influencer to Cuba. In June, he surprised his sister on the island with an emotional reunion, the video of which surpassed 59,600 views, and in July, he returned following the passing of his father, in a post that reached over 128,000 views.
In this instance, in mid-September, he arrived with flowers at his parents' grave, and the bus video seems to be part of that same stay on the island.
Bota Compota went viral in April 2026 thanks to spontaneous clips recorded from his car while working as a delivery driver for Amazon in Miami, singing Cuban delivery in a spontaneous and carefree style that quickly connected with the diaspora and with Cubans on the island.
It was precisely his version of "Dichávate" —to which he added comedic comments and the phrase "What a kind of fire, dear friends?"— that sparked his popularity. Figures from the Cuban entertainment scene like Lenier Mesa and Dany Ome publicly supported him from the early days of its viral spread.
«Dichávate», the song featured in the background of the video, was released on December 24, 2025, by Ya Ice Dilan, Rey Tony, Helabusador, and DJ Honda. Since January 2026, it has gained widespread viral popularity on TikTok and surpassed 70 million views on YouTube by July of that year.
International artists such as Maluma, Bad Gyal, and Ryan Castro, as well as the footballer Vinícius Jr., have used the theme, helping to increase the international visibility of the Cuban cast.
