The Cuban reggaeton artist El Chacal took the opportunity during one of his concerts in Alicante, Spain, to raise the Cuban flag and deliver a powerful message in support of the island's freedom, in which he highlighted the challenges faced by the population and harshly criticized the regime.

The moment was captured in a video shared on TikTok, in which the singer is seen holding the Cuban flag, expressing his pride in his Cuban roots and in the neighborhood of Marianao, in Havana, where he grew up.

The artist, whose real name is Ramón Lavado Martínez, explained that his plea for freedom is specifically directed at those who continue to live in Cuba and face the consequences of the crisis on a daily basis.

"It is called freedom for the people of Cuba. Not for us who have already left, not for us who live in other countries; we are free Cubans, and we eat, have breakfast, bathe, have our jobs, and live our lives," he stated.

During his speech, El Chacal denounced the scarcity of food, medicine, and opportunities affecting the Cubans, emphasizing the need for them to be able to build their future in freedom.

"The people who have no medicine, the grandmother who has no medicine, the people who are dying of hunger in Cuba, people who need a chance to live a single life and fight for their dreams and their projects. For that, freedom is needed," he expressed.

The singer also issued a harsh critique directed at Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel, referencing his calls for creativity in the face of the country's economic difficulties.

"Because it's tough to have a belly like that, all fat and all red, and you telling the people to be creative," he stated from the stage.

The video, shared on TikTok on Monday, October 12, was accompanied by tags such as #HomelandAndLife.

The performance in Alicante is part of the artist's European tour, which in 2026 also includes shows in Gran Canaria, Barcelona, and several German cities.

This is not the first time El Chacal has used his concerts to advocate for freedom for Cuba. In July 2025, the reggaeton artist became emotional to the point of tears during a performance in Zaragoza, where he held a flag bearing the messages "SOS Cuba" and "Homeland and Life" while calling for change in his country.

His public commitment to this cause was also evident in March 2026, when he shared the stage with Jacob Forever and Yotuel during the Free Cuba Rally held in Hialeah, where they performed "Puente Libertad" in front of thousands of Cuban Americans.
